Need a Kick in the Teeth?

Again from Francis Chan…
“As I see it, a lukewarm Christian is an oxymoron; there’s no such thing. To put it plainly, churchgoers who are ‘lukewarm’ are not Christians. We will not see them in heaven.”. Read Revelation 3:15-18. Btw, the word used for spit in that passage means gagging, hurling, retching! In essence vomit!
Ouch, I want no part of that!!

Am I lukewarm?…

  1. Loved your “What is it?” entry. I even want to borrow part of it for my own blog… but I won’t. Instead I’ll just return the favor of seeing my name in “lights” here with an honorable mention to your wonderful blog as well. Give me a little bit of time and you’ll see your name in lights as well.

However, I’m not sure I’m in complete agreement with this entry. I mean with Francis Chan. Everyone is still working hard at their service, faith, love and spreading of the word. No one will ever be completely “there” because no one is perfect. And this world prevents us from truly being who we should be… but entices us in so many other directions.

I understand that we can’t give up, though. We must keep working… working to not be lukewarm. But I know I’m not perfect and I’d hate to think that I would have no chance of getting into Heaven in my present state.

Not really interested in vomiting though, either…
