the YouVersion daily read was…

Psalm 32.  i’ve always thought this was an interesting Psalm, probably written as David was dealing with his sin of adultery and murder.  it goes like this…
Blessed is he
whose transgressions are forgiven,
whose sins are covered.
Blessed is the man
whose sin the LORD does not count against him
and in whose spirit is no deceit.
When I kept silent,
my bones wasted away
through my groaning all day long.
For day and night
your hand was heavy upon me;
my strength was sapped
as in the heat of summer.
I’ve always thought that fit right with this song from the All-American Rejects.  i would imagine that this would be the way he felt.
Dirty Little Secret
♫Let me know that I’ve done wrong
When I’ve known this all along
I go around a time or two
Just to waste my time with you
Tell me all that you’ve thrown away
Find out games you don’t wanna play
You are the only one that needs to know
I’ll keep you my dirty little secret
(Dirty little secret)
Don’t tell anyone or you’ll be just another regret
(Just another regret, hope that you can keep it)
My dirty little secret

Who has to know
When we live such fragile lives
It’s the best way we survive
I go around a time or two
Just to waste my time with you

Tell me all that you’ve thrown away
Find out games you don’t wanna play
You are the only one that needs to know

I’ll keep you my dirty little secret
(Dirty little secret)
Don’t tell anyone or you’ll be just another regret
(Just another regret, hope that you can keep it)
My dirty little secret

Who has to know
The way she feels inside (inside)
Those thoughts I can’t deny (deny)
These sleeping thoughts won’t lie (won’t lie)
And all I’ve tried to hide
It’s eating me apart

Trace this life out

Who has to know
Who has to know♫

i think the video says it with the postcards.  warning, some of the postcards are “messy”, but then so is life.
i think when we try to hide our sin, it eats us alive.  sometimes we need a Nathan to point that out, but eventually we can’t keep anything a secret.  and it’s never a secret from God.
